Welcome!
Would you like to honor and serve America?
Do you want to prepare for your future career while making new friends?
Rise to the challenge of cadet membership in the Civil Air Patrol!
Cadets fly, learn to lead, camp, get in shape, and push themselves to new limits. If you’re dreaming about a career in aviation, space, or the military, CAP’s Cadet Program is for you.
To become a cadet, you must be 12-18 years old. Cadets meet two and a half hours per week (for regular meetings), and an average of one Saturday per month (for special activities). They also have opportunities to attend leadership encampments, career academies, and other activities during the summer.
Squadron 714 is a CAP cadet squadron which meets at Escondido Charter High School. Established in 2008, Squadron 714 is unique in that cadets are given almost unprecedented responsibility for the running of the squadron. Cadets set the meeting schedule, teach lessons, run drills, and organize activities, all with the help of the senior members.
Squadron 714 is always recruiting new cadets and senior members. Please visit a meeting or contact us at [email protected] for information.
